Emojis Match privacy policy
In force since 18 October 2026. Last updated: 25 October 2026.
Emojis Match uses only the data needed for you to play, keep your progress and appear on the leaderboard. We do not ask for your real name, your e-mail or your date of birth, and we look after what you trust us with: your data is never sold and is only used for the game.
1. Who is responsible
MigYMag, the independent team that makes Emojis Match, based in the United States. Contact: contact@migymag.com.
2. What data we process
| Data | What it is | Where it is kept |
|---|---|---|
| Player ID | An anonymous identifier created the first time you open the game | Unity Authentication |
| Public name | A drawn two-word name or, if you are an adult, a nickname you type | Unity Authentication |
| Age answer | Only whether you are an adult or a minor (yes or no). The year you pick is not kept | Unity Cloud Save |
| Progress | Records, medals, completed trainings, your Adventure case and how many times you saw and matched each emoji | Your phone and a copy in Unity Cloud Save |
| Endless scores | Points, level, longest chain and most matches at once of your best game | Unity Leaderboards |
| Linked account (optional) | If you use Save progress, Unity keeps that your account is linked to a Unity account; you sign in with Google, Apple or your e-mail on Unity's website | Unity Player Accounts |
| Language and text size | What you choose in Settings | Your phone only |
| Session log | A text file with the version, the phone model, memory and errors, to understand a crash if you send it to us | Your phone only; it is never sent by itself |
| Crash reports | If the game closes because of an error: the kind of error, where in the game it happened, the last technical lines the game logged, the phone's model and system and the game's version. It does not include your public name or your progress | Unity Diagnostics |
When they connect, Unity's services receive technical data such as the IP address and the device type to work and protect themselves. The Unity engine the game is made with may also send Unity technical data about the device and performance, under Unity's privacy policy.
3. What we use it for
- So you can play and keep your progress, also on another phone if you link your account.
- To show the Endless leaderboard with your public name and points.
- To check that scores are believable and prevent cheating.
- To protect minors: only adults can type a nickname, and we check it against a list of blocked words.
- To help you when you write to support with your player ID.
- To find and fix the errors that close the game.
4. Legal basis
We process data to provide the game you use (performance of the service) and for our legitimate interest in preventing cheating and abuse. The age answer helps us comply with child protection rules.
5. Who we share data with
- Unity Technologies, which hosts the game's online services (Authentication, Cloud Save, Cloud Code, Leaderboards, Player Accounts and Diagnostics) and processes the data on our behalf. Its servers may be outside your country, including in the United States; for data from the European Union, Unity applies the GDPR safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses.
- Other players, who see your public name and points on the leaderboard.
- Beyond them, nobody receives your data: we do not sell it or share it with other companies. The game shows no ads today; if they come, this policy will first say which provider and what data.
6. Children
Emojis Match is for all ages, children included. It has no chat and does not ask for a real name or an e-mail, and minors can only use drawn names, so nothing they type reaches other players. The first time you want to type a nickname we ask your year of birth, and we only keep whether you are an adult (16 or older) or a minor.
If the game ever shows ads, minors and anyone who has not told us their age will only get non-personalized ads from providers approved for apps with children. Save progress happens on Unity's website with an e-mail or a Google or Apple account: if your child is under 13, do it for them. A parent or guardian can ask for deletion by writing to support.
7. How long we keep it
While your account exists, and at most 24 months after the last time you play: after that we delete the account and its data. You can delete it sooner in Settings, under Delete my account: your name, your age answer, your cloud progress and your scores are deleted at once. If you no longer have the game, ask at emojis.migymag.com/delete-account and we delete it within 30 days.
8. Security
Data travels encrypted to Unity's servers. On the phone, progress is kept in the game's private folder.
9. Your rights
You can ask for access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction or objection by writing to contact@migymag.com with your player ID, shown at the bottom of Settings. If you live in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you can also complain to the data protection authority of your country.
10. Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date above and tell you in the game about important changes.
